A career in PR is pretty hard to come by and a good entry level opportunity for graduates is as rare as hen’s teeth. That is why I am so pleased to spread the word about a vacancy at the EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation. There is a lot of controversy in the PR industry at the moment about interns being exploited and unpaid which makes this vacancy even more attractive as it has a salary with benefits.
A contact of mine, Sally Sykes, is EEF’s Director of External Affairs and she is looking for a graduate in a politics, PR, media or communications related discipline to work in London for a one year internship. THE CLOSING DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS WEDNESDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 2012.
If you are, or you know someone who is, a graduate in one of the above disciplines with an interest and aptitude for media, politics and public affairs then you can find out more about this fantastic opportunity on the EEF website.
I started my career as a sponsored undergraduate trainee at British Aerospace (now BAE Systems) and received a brilliant grounding in business, corporate life and my chosen field of pr/marketing. An internship such as this is the modern equivalent. This is an excellent entry level opportunity to start a career in PR, communications and/or public affairs. Opportunities like this are very rare, so please don’t miss out.
Apply by sending your CV to Rose O’Garro (email@example.com) referring to the job title (External Affairs Internship – 12 months) in your email
