Isn’t it frustrating when customers don’t turn up for appointments? My hairdresser got so fed up with this happening – which is lost income as they are extremely unlikely to have another client on stand-by for that very time slot – that they now send a text reminder the day before an appointment.
I have my hair cut every 6 weeks without fail – as Dawcus Lane would say in that wonderful TV programme Lark Rise to Candleford, “Haircuts are my one true weakness!” – yet I have still forgotten the odd appointment so a text from them has been invaluable. They also use SMS messages to inform their clients of special offers.
So if customers not turning up for appointments means you lose money then a simple and quick text message could be the solution.
