Get out from the comfort of your own desk/office and meet people to spread the word about what you sell / what you do.
The old adage of ‘People buy from people’ is most certainly true – go forth and network so prospective customers can put a face to a name. The worst that can happen is that you make more people aware of you and your company. The best is that you may pick up some new business – and that can’t be bad.
Top tip: If you go to an event make sure you have a good supply of business cards to hand out and have thought about your elevator pitch.
