My approach

Membership is my thing. It is the sector which excites me, which makes me want to do great work.  There is nothing which frustrates me more than a membership organisation which treats its members / partners as cash-cows without providing value in return for their patronage.  I put members front and centre of everything I do and advise and encourage you to provide what members and commercial partners value.

The way I work is as an integral part of your internal team.  You will forget I am an external consultant.  I invest the time to get to know key elements of your organisation, from its membership structure and the industry / profession you serve, to your stakeholder demographic, the in-house resources and commercial drivers, so I can embed myself in what you do.

I am strategic. Everything I advise you do will derive from a strategic reason and be linked to achieving defined business outcomes.  I don’t do anything just to generate impressive numbers, unless these numbers relate to a real impact for the organisation.

Every campaign I devise is written from the perspective of being award-winning (and I have won a few). All my strategies follow best practice principles.
