Have you heard the phrase: “Sell the sizzle”?
You need to get to know your audience and what information they will be interested in. They are unlikely to be interested in finding out about you or your company in the first instance, but they will want to know what you will do for them. Are you solving a problem? Saving them money? Saving them time?
By communicating the benefits of what you do / provide, i.e. the sizzle, and leave the features to a minimum, i.e. the sausage, you are more likely to entice action.
In other words … “Sell the sizzle not the sausage”.
