In essence …
I work with Boards / Councils / Senior Management Teams / to help them meet their organisational objectives
Whilst the challenges presented by each client differ, my approach remains constant. Whether I am given a specific task or an open-ended problem to solve, my commitment is to get to know your organisation to determine where my task fits in to the bigger picture.
Understanding your membership structure, your competition, how departments and individual staff connect and interact, and the motivation behind what I have been asked to do, all help me provide you with a workable (and achievable) solution.
To get the best results for you I get under the skin of your organisation.
Specific tasks I have been asked to undertake include: “Manage our award programme”, “Create a member engagement programme to help with media relations”, or “Convert this information into easy-to-understand articles”.
The projects I can really get my teeth into and which light my fire are the open-ended challenges. I have been faced with: “We need more income, but not from membership fees”, “How can we engage with stakeholders?”, “We need more income streams”, “We’re stuck! What direction do we need to go in?”, or one of my favourites is “We need to provide more value on limited resources”.
Are you ready?
If you are faced with a challenge (what is that phrase? There are no problems, only challenges!), and are ready and prepared for me to delve into your organisation, then get in touch.
Once you give me the green light, it’s a pretty painless process. I do all the hard work and running around before presenting you with a well-considered solution. I don’t pull any punches and will tell you what you need to hear – not necessarily what you want to hear … but that’s why you chose me. Right?
