Today is the day … for the 6th year I am part of the judging process for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ Excellence Awards – the most prestigious awards for PR work, and today is the first day of judging.
Each shortlisted entrant has to come before a panel of respected PR professionals who act as judges and scrutinise the entry in order to determine who will win the coveted award for each category. My role as Secretary to the Judges means I sit on the panel for each of the 28 categories and over the next three weeks will be present in over 140 interviews. Phew!
At the end of each day of judging I will be writing a short diary piece for the CIPR The Conversation blog. I’ll post them here too so you can keep up to speed on what’s going on and what is involved in the judging of an international awards programme – you will probably be surprised what needs to happen … it’s a lot!
Right then … let the judging begin :0).
