Speaking at events

With over 20 years experience in marketing and PR roles from small to large multi-national companies, Bojangle founder and director, Lindsey Collumbell, regularly speaks at business events to pass on her knowledge and experience to fellow business owners.  She is the main trainer for the workshops run by Bojangle Training and the content for the talks she gives to business groups are cherry-picked from these workshops.

Lindsey works closely with event managers to ensure each talk is pitched at the right level for the group and prefers an interactive rather than a ‘death by PowerPoint’ approach.

Marketing is not Rocket Science

For effective marketing you must reach your target audience in as many different ways as you can.  Lindsey Collumbell uses her 20+ years of marketing experience to cover marketing from the very basics up to specific actions to take in order to get moving with your marketing and start attracting the clients that you need.  Attendees will learn how to profile their audience so as to not waste time reaching those who are unlikely to buy, and analysing the best ways to reach them (see the YouTube video below – it’s a bit fast so we suggest you hover over the pause button to read some of the slides).  From here it is easy to establish which marketing tools to use to maximise the return on investment of time and money.  Lindsey includes lots of practical tips and advice as well of real examples of what works well.  Lindsey thrives on seeing the light-bulbs come on when attendees realise that marketing is not difficult once you think sensibly and target what is being done. NB: Lindsey also gives a similar talk, “PR is not Rocket Science“, which centres on the subject of effective PR and give hints, tips and actual case studies to show what works.
