This half-day workshop will be held in Dorking, Surrey on: DATES TBD
Marketing is changing. The web is changing. Are you changing with it?
Marketing is no longer a one-way flow of information from company to customer/client. The web allows people to voice their opinions – whether good or bad – on anything and everything. You, your company, brands, products and services are being talked about right now – do you know what is being said? If you are not ‘out there’ in the social web then you are not able to respond.
If you want to get started using social marketing then this half-day workshop is for you.
Who should attend
This workshop is for you if you want to get started with social marketing and be shown how to maximise the benefit to your business. The workshop is aimed primarily at business owners but is also relevant to staff with responsibility for social marketing within their organisation.
Why you should attend
If you have always thought about using Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and blogs to spread the word about you, your business and your products/services, but have not known how then this is definitely a half-day you need to invest in. Even if you have dabbled but really don’t know what you are doing then this is still for you. This workshop is very hands-on and interactive. By the end of the day you will be in a position to market your business confidently using the right social platforms for you.
The benefits of attending
To your business – you, your company, brands, products and services are being talked about right now. By having an active role in the social web you will be well placed to not only respond to what is being said, but also to lead and infleunce what is being said.
To you as an individual – social marketing is not going away. By attending this workshop you will be in a position to get your business to the forefront of what is happening and get ahead of your competition.
You will learn how to:
- choose the right social platform/s to use
- set up and use accounts on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
- set up and use a blog
- write interesting content that gets read and, better still, is forwarded to others
- manage your accounts and be given valuable time-saving tips
- use social marketing effectively (and what not to do!)
What you will take away with you
At the end of this workshop you will be ready to start using social marketing effectively as you will have set up accounts on the social media platforms that will best serve your business. You will confidently be able to put into practice what you have learnt as soon as you get back to your desk.
What you need to bring with you
In order to maximise the benefit of this workshop you are strongly advised to bring along a laptop to use throughout the day. This means that you will be able to set up your accounts in real-time and start using them whilst at the workshop – hands-on experience is essential in social marketing.
If you do not have a laptop to bring with you then you will have access to one during the workshop but this will not be on an exclusive basis.
Your added bonus
As your time is precious we want to squeeze every last drop of benefit to you so we add a networking spin to each workshop.
At the start of each workshop you are given the opportunity to talk about you, your business and what type of contacts/leads you are looking for. This not only puts you into perspective for your trainer, but also allows the other attendees to find out about you and think how they can help you and you help them. We do a business card swap so you can all keep in touch afterwards and have an area in the training room for you to place flyers/brochures etc for the other attendees to take away with them.
Building your network of business people is an important part of marketing your business so we build time for this into the workshop schedule.
Testimonial
Last Wednesday I was lucky enough to attend a wonderful half-day training with Lindsey Collumbell of Bojangle Communications. Held at the very beautiful Wotton House near Dorking. Lindsey packed so much information into the morning course, I came away with my head filled with so many answers to questions I had about Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, WordPress and so much more. We were all at different levels with our use of social media, so our needs varied. However, completely unflustered by this, Lindsey delivered solutions that worked for all of us. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to know more about Social Media. The feature I particularly liked was being able to use my own PC to get hands-on experience and a practical solution that works for my business. (Sue Bown, The Coaching Zone)
