Create links that the search engines like – when creating links, either to internal pages on your site, or to pages on other sites, make sure you include keywords or phrases in the link text. The text you include in hyperlinks is used by the search engines to determine the value of a web page
Using the text: “Click here for more information on our SEO training courses” will give you no search engine value. However, the text: “Click for more information on our SEO training courses” (if SEO training courses is a keyphrase for you) will be far more beneficial when helping the search engines crawl around your site.

Many thanks for the tip about enhancing the click-here tip – I built my own website from template site (long story, but I waited for ages for my computer-geek no.2 son to do it for me, but ended up doing it myself). By building a website this way, I was in the arena of a great deal of missing information..
I did manage to get the hotlinks for ‘click here’, but by doing what you suggest, it makes it all the sense in the world- but they do say that common sense isn’t common and I believe it!
It would be nice to know where my contacts come from, and have asked someone to set me up with the Google analytics code but what has come back is complete gobbledegook so that’s the task after repairing my ‘click here’s’ to be more SEO visible!
