The Bojangle story
Bojangle Communications was born in 2004 after Lindsey Collumbell decided to step off the corporate wheel and start working how she wanted, and not how a big company dictated she would. The company is built on the strong foundations of Lindsey’s experience and the service that she craved but never found when she employed agencies during her corporate career. The aim of Bojangle Communications is simple: “to provide effective marketing solutions to help small businesses grow and shine”.
Lindsey has worked in a wide range of marketing and public relations roles and brings the benefit of over 20 years of experience to her clients. Her experience includes: aerospace, accountancy, exhibitions, membership organisations, online retailers, parenting, professional services, property, small business, and wedding sectors.
“When I started Bojangle Communications my intention was to work with corporates as that was the world I knew. It did not take me long to realise that I was a little cog in a big wheel – all-be-it an important and invaluable cog! – but the more I worked with small businesses and, more importantly, direct with the business owner, I came to realise that this end of the spectrum was what most appealed to me and where I could make the most difference.

A change of direction
Initially, Bojangle Communications worked solely on the basis of Lindsey auditing a client’s previous marketing activity then devising a strategy, formulating a plan of action to move the business forward and then implementing the strategy and plan. Occasionally this work was shared with the business owner – invariably to make the budget stretch further.
At the beginning of 2010, after more and more businesses had approached Lindsey for advice, rather than looking to outsource their marketing, Lindsey created a new suite of training services that would meet the varied needs of small businesses – the Bojangle family was born.
Bojangle Training is our solution for business owners who want/need to do their own marketing but have no or little idea how to do it.
- one2one sessions – we work with you on an individual one2one basis to teach you how to do a particular marketing activity yourself. This could be: how to use WordPress, set up and use effectively various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn, how to blog, write a news release, formulate a marketing strategy. These sessions are bookable in half day units.
- workshops – these are either full-day or half-day depending on the subject that teach you in-depth practical information on key areas of marketing. To ensure you receive maximum attention, and therefore maximum benefit, from the session the number of delegates is restricted to five (5) – when less hands-on support is needed, a few workshops are capped at ten (10) people.
